Botulinum toxin is considered the most effective non-surgical method for treating mimic wrinkles.

For decades the human body has known its effect in dealing with various neurological, ophthalmic and urological complaints.

Administered in different parts of the face and neck, botulinum toxin decreases and even eliminates the visible lines and wrinkles due to its relaxing effect on the underlying muscles, improving the aesthetic appearance of the face and eliminating the signs of fatigue and Aging skin.

Botulinum toxin is a synthesis protein of the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum. The protein contained in it has high toxicity and in miniature doses it blocks the transmission of the nerve impulse from the neuron to the muscular fiber. Which leads to muscle relaxation – the muscle is not shortened and prevents the skin from wrinkled.

Injecting botulinum toxin into the muscles will not cause negative reactions in the body if licensed products are used. In case of abuse-large doses and administration, for example, every two months, can provoke the formation of antibodies that quickly eliminate its action.

Until now, there is no evidence of a crustacic (carcinogenic) effect.
The serotypes of botulinum toxin are: A, B, C, D, E, F, G and three varieties of serotype a. Botulinum toxin Type A (VBM-A – Botox®, Dysport®, Vistabel®) is most commonly used to smooth out mimic wrinkles and slow the emergence of new ones. Type C (VBM-V-Neurobloc®) is effective in patients resistant to VBM.

Post-procedure care and duration of effect

You should not massage and press the injected areas.
It is recommended that in the first 2-3 hours to strengthen the mimic by shrinking and displacing the expression muscles – it helps to even and complete distribution of botulinum toxin in the injected muscle.
The first 4 hours should not be laid or the head bent, as it is possible that the botulinum toxin can pass into another group of muscles due to its diffusion property.
Don’t play sports in the first 24 hours.
Do not use cosmetic products with alcohol content, creams, gels, masks, as well as not to make cosmetic procedures, peelings and facial massage in the first 72 hours.

Duration of effect

The action of botulinum toxin occurs from 4 to 10 days after the procedure. The maximum effect is usually observed after 1 to 2 weeks.

Depending on the type of musculature, the effect lasts from 4 to 6 months. In some patients, it is also possible to 8 months after the first procedure. Everyone has a different muscle tone, that is, a different strength of muscle contraction, so the dose is determined individually according to the muscle indicators.
